September 30, 2016
The air is crisp. Leaves are changing. It’s harvest time, so let’s celebrate fall!

This season, build family memories with your kids while you spend time and have fun together. Get your creative caps on and share in these 10 enriched (and fun) activities to do your child, from your friends at Stratford School.

1. Share a funny story with your child. Then have them tell you a funny story.
2. Draw a colorful picture of fall and send it to someone special.
3. Play head, shoulders, knees, and toes.
4. Ask your child to find three colors of fall in items around the house: one yellow, one orange, one brown.
5. Go to the grocery store and talk about the shapes and colors of vegetables – then see if your child can spot the most unusual vegetable.
6. Have a family conversation about which animals are similar and which are different.
7. Ask your child to help with laundry by sorting socks by size and color.
8. When driving in the car, talk about the different shapes of traffic signs you see.
9. Gather a shoe from each family member and put in order by size.
10. Count from one to ten—then do it again!
