Pumpkin Patch Round-Up

Here is a list of just some of the pumpkin patches and farms where you and your family can pick the perfect pumpkin, go on a hayride, navigate a corn maze and much more. Please note that some of this information has not been verified which has been noted.  A few of the patches do not have websites and phone contact has not been made.  We will update this listing as information becomes available.  

 
Clayton Valley Pumpkin Farm -  1060 Pine Ln., Clayton

When:  Oct. 1st - 31st   9am-8pm  (train hours vary)

Fee for activities and pumpkins.  Past activities: Pumpkin Playland including a hay bale tunnel, bean pots to play in and more and more. Train rides (times vary).   Little Carver's Barnyard play area with Duck races, Horsey Hop-a-long and the Barn Ball Toss.

Pick of the Patch Pumpkins 

Concord: 1090 Oak Grove Rd.  10am-9pm daily
Concord/Martinez: 1598 Solano Way at Marsh Dr.   10am-9pm Sun-Thurs, 10am-10pm Fri-Sat  

Pumpkin patch with inflatable play area (fee), decorated photo spots and lots of different pumpkin varieties.  You can book a birthday party or other group event.

2014 activities: Pumpkin patch with petting zoo, straw bale hideout, pumpkin painting, free popcorn and free movies for kids on Fridays.



Smith Family Farms - 4430 Sellers Ave., Knightsen

When: Dates not available but usually open early October

While this farm can be a bit of a drive, it is a popular field trip spot for local schools Activities typically available in prior years have been a hayride to the pumpkin patch where you can select your pumpkin, music performances, Native Indian Village, barnyard animal area,  Website 



G & M Farms  - 487 East Airway, Livermore

When: Oct. 1-Oct. 31; Patch: Mon.-Fri. 2 pm-6 pm, Sat.-Sun. 10 am-6 pm; Maze: Mon.-Thur. 4 pm-8 pm, Fri. 4 pm-10 pm, Sat. 10 am-10 pm, Sun. 10 am-8 pm

Cornfield Maze and Pumpkin Patch featured twice on the "David Letterman Show". Huge corn maze can take an hour or more to complete (or so we hear).   Pick your own pumpkin from huge patch.  Produce, decorative gourds and Indian corn for sale.  Farm animals and straw bale maze for the younger kids.  Pony rides, Cow Train, Pedal Carts, and more.  Some activities weekends only.  Maze $7 - $10, children 5 and under free.  Website    Print $1 off coupon from the website.

 

Joan's Pumpkin Patch  - 4351 Mines Rds., Livermore

When: Oct. 1 -31, 9-6 daily
